All Spiritual Blessings in Christ Jesus
The apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:3: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”
If “every” spiritual blessing is found in ChristJesus then there is not a single spiritual blessing that is enjoyed outside of Christ. Paul list some of the spiritual blessings in chapters 1-3 of Ephesians. In Christ we have been adopted as sons, redeemed, forgiven, made alive spiritually, and reconciled to God. These blessings are not found outside of Christ.
But if these are found in Christ, then how do I get into Christ Jesus? Paul wrote, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Gal.3:26-27). Baptism is what puts us into Christ. If you have not been baptized then you are not in Christ. If you are not in Christ then you cannot enjoy a single spiritual blessing from God. For the Northside Church of Christ this is Mike Webb
